RJ is back in town. It’s been a long trip this time to Alabama and Texas. I’m glad he is back. I pick him up at the Buffalo International Airport. His plane is late. I drive around the airport twice. I wait in the cell phone lot until he is on the ground. Several minutes pass. [...] I tried to upload a picture of the new patio and walkway, but I was unsuccessful. The base is down and ready for the next step. Morning came and the workers were there early spreading gravel and doing the final preparations for the walkway. The process reminds me of painting a room. All the work goes into the prep: spackling holes, sanding, priming. Then the paint goes on in no time. [...] Day One I just love springtime in New York. The weather is getting warmer. The crocuses and daffodils are bursting with color. Purple and pink hyacinths are blooming and fragrant. This week M and I will be digging up all those flowers and shrubs from the front yard and putting them into buckets in anticipation of the [...] |
